Hi,
MY TSM Server is :5.5.3.0
My Library is IBM3310.
I have 4 GEN3 & 2 GEN4 dirves inside my library. For a long time, i was using only the GEN3 drives.
With this 4 GEN3 drives, i used to backup my databse of 2.4TB in 3hrs and 30minutes.
Tapes used in library are L3..
Today, i made the 2 GEN4 drives online and tried to backup using all 6 drives.. I expected the backup time to reduce..but still it took almost 3hrs and 30minutes
When drives increase the backup time should decrease rt ?...
Should i look for any fine tuning...?
Also, any documents to do performance tuning on my drives...
