IBM SP 8.1.9 Ubuntu 16.04 change hostname

Hi, does anybody know how to change the hostname of my Ubuntu 16.04 SP server 8.1.9. I used the following procedure https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/changing-host-name-ibm-spectrum-protect-v7-server-linux but with no success because db2set as root user shows nothing. As instance user everything is fine but I do not have the privileges (DBI1309E). Does anybody have an idea what's necessary for changing the hostname?

try sourcing the instance profile after signing on to root. ?
Does anything come back when you issue "db2set -all" ?

Having the same issue running db2set on RHEL 7.2 server. I tried running profile script and still nothing...any other ideas??
