IBM Protectier VTL

Hello,

We just implemented IBM Protectier VTL and we are planning to upgrade our XIV and we will have to update a patch to the XIV but the question here is we will have to shutdown out VTL server while doing the patch and i just want to know if anybody knew the procedure to shutdown IBM Protectier VTL.I was wondering if we stop the services won't be fine because we ran into issues the last time when we stopped the VTL services,so am planning to shutdown clean and bring it up clean.Can anybody help me out with this?
