I have an issue with windows 2000 on a x250 server with a IBM 3447 library and a dlt7000 every time it goes to format a tape the system tries 35 GB compressed the library formats the tape as 20 GB compressed and will not write to it. I have the DLTclass1 set to DLT35 the tape drive I set to 35 C manually TSM still will format the tape as 20 GB compressed. any ideas why whats going on ? the Tape by the way is a DLT IV tape. oh one thing i forgot the IBM 3447 is plugged into a Adaptec 2940uw card.
