how to use a drive for specific backup

Hello,

We hae va library with fifteen connected to our tsm. now we want to remove a drive and we want to use it for specific backup. But we have only one physical library.

Can we define a logical library , with one of the drive from the 15 drives ?

If any one faced this situation please suggest me.

there is a technique called library partitioning which we have done with one of the library to assign one drive and few slots to be used by other server. you need to do this process from library console. in your case, i think its not required to partition your library.
there are number of ways to do this, one is, create a policy domain with a copy group pointing to tape storage pool. use this policy domain for that particular node. like this you can send that node's data directly to library tape.
