How to integrate Netapp with TSM?

A costumer is thinking about one IBM System Storage N3600 Model A20..

SnapRestore

SnapDrive for Win Media Kit
FCP Host Atch Kit - Solaris
SnapManager/Exchange - Host
SnapManager/Exch - Media Kit
SnapManager for SQL - Host
SnapManager/SQL - Media Kit
SnapManager for Oracle
SnapManager/Oracle-Media Kit


I Don't have any experienece backing up netapp with tsm..

Is it possible to integrate all this stuff with TSM??

Short answer: NDMP. You can backup the Netapp using this protocol if the Netapp is defined as a NAS (CIFS) device.

See "help backup node" on the TSM Command line.

In other configuration modes, you can backup data that is on the Netapp device via mount points i.e., NFS.

If you have the rest of the Netapp device as just a JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disk), you can backup using normal BA or TDP clients.
