Something like "Exclude Systemstate" or "Exclude.Systemstate ASR" should work. Experiment a little - I did. I could dig it up in the old emails if you really really can't get it to work.
Or you could read the docs - http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/tivihelp/v1r1/ Search the index for exclude options. Make sure you go, on the front page, to the correct previous version, then in the left pane to Storage Manager Clients, then BA client for Windows, Index, Exclude options. It's in there. I checked.
Yes. On the client GUI...select "edit"..."preferences"...then choose the "backup" tab...click on the highlited "systemstate" on the "Domain list'. Choose apply...and then ok. Restart you scheduler service.
