Hi there,
since i'm very new in TSM. appreciate if anybody can help me on this.
i would like to inquiry is it posssible TSM (BA Client) can clear or do automatic housekeeping (any script) for the log file (dsmsched.log and dsmerror.log).
May be we can set remain the log until for example 120days.
Currently my TSM when i view these log, the log will show since the system is started (since year 2005).
It is difficult to me if i'm issue 'q systeminfo'. The result of this cmd will capture all the log file into the systeminfo.txt.
TQ

hi chef,

i already check the dsm.opt / dsm.sys it already set as
ERRORLOGRETENTION 30 D
SCHEDLOGRETENTION 30 D

unfortunately ONLY errorlogretention follow as the setting,
but the schedlogretention not, it still kept the log since the node register in the TSM server. Is there something i miss on it?

TQ

you have to have this set per stanza...
if it is not working perhaps you can post your dsm.sys and dsm.opt for this one in question?
is it a TSM server, client, what version, what OS...?

-Chef.
