Are you executing the "install_exclusive" file in the driver download package...rather than using the "update driver method" of the "old days".
If you haven't done it that way...I suggest the following:
1. Run the uninstall executable in the driver download package
2. Then run the install_exclusive executable.
3. If that fails, run the uninstall again...and then turn on logging when you run the install_exclusive again.
Couple things to verify:
1. Make sure you have the right version...it is very picky on OS -- to the point of 2003 vs 2008... and 32 vs 64 bit.
2. Is the firmware for the tape drives and library at a supported level for the driver level.
Consider...uninstalling the drivers; rebooting the server; then run install_exclusive again.
