We have recently migrated Tivoli Storage Manager version 6.3.4.0 from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2012 R2. Post migration we started getting frequent I/O errors while taking backups, specially TSM database backup. I referred below link and verified the mentioned patches in server but found not installed. This link also state some group policy related issue hence we removed the server from group policy and moved to computer OU. But now also I/O errors still reporting. Tape library attached is having SAS interface (DELL ML3 LTO6) and server hardware is also new.
