"extend db" doesnt work?

Hi all,
Running TSM 5.5 on AIX 5.3. I need to increase the size space size for my db, I added plenty of space to the LV, and aix reports the space there on the filesystems, but when I run "extend db 100000" (i added 10 gigs to the different LVs) it says :
ANR2436E EXTEND DB: Insufficient space to extend database by requested amount.
ANS8001I Return code 7

And on top of that, it gives that error if i try to expand it my 200 megs as well. Is there something I need to do in Tivoli to see the extra space on the filesystems?

q db shows 0 max exten.

You have to create new database volume before you extend database if no space left on existing database volumes.

Thats the thing, i added space to the existing volume. I take it you are saying this is wrong?

No, you have added space to AIX LV. Now you have to create additional TSM database volume on the file system on AIX LV. You do it with TSM admin command "define dbvolume", just as explained in help that I posted link in previous message.
