Any had the issue where an exchange restore just sits at getting list of recovery items for 10-12hrs before starting the restore? We've had this issue forever and its super frustrating. Legato support can't seem to figure out whats going on so I thought I'd hit up the forums. Here are the specs:
Networker Server 7.4.1 build 431 running on Sun OS 9
restoring to
Networker Exchange User v.5.1.0 running on Win2k3 sp2
Backend restore coming from sDLT320 tape / Quantum p4000
Backend Exchange storage is on an EVA
The only thing I can think of is that Exchange is trying to format the prepare the disks for the restore or that the networker user is going through all the database attributes before starting the restore. Nevertheless its frustrating trying to restore a recovery group at a 70gb size which only takes an hour to complete but idles for 10hrs.
