Exchange 2010 With TSM 5.5

Dear friends,

I had install TDP6, for exchange 2010, connected to TSM 5.5; i notice that when i register the nodename of the tdp as the same name of the physical name, i can backup to lto pool, but when i rgister the tdp with a different name of the the physical name of machine, the backup go to disk pool !?, although, only a primary lto poll is defined. Do you have any idea about this issue?

Maybe the nodes are defined in different domains, check with query node

Thank's for your replay.
It's only one nodename, i have two ways :
OK : nodemname the same as hostname.
KO : nodename different than hostname.
and try to understand why ?

Are they in the same TSM domain? Issue Q NODE hostname and then Q NODE othername and look at the domain in the output.
If they exist in the same domain it can be that your original setup uses a managemnt class to save the data direct to tape.
Check this wit Q INCLEXCL from the TSM clients command line.
