Any TSM drivers needs to be updated to use LTO-5 Tape ?

Jibu

Did you replace the LTO-4 with LTO-5 or do you have both types in one logical library?

if you are using both types in one logical library you can only use formatted LTO-4 formatted tapes. you cant use LTO-5 formatted tapes in LTO-4 drives. set the TSM devices for all drives to LTO-4 (FORMAT=ULTRIUM4 or ULTRIUM4C)

The issue was resolved. The hardaware engineer didn't connect the LTO-5 drive properly. He removed the the drive from library and again fitted it back....no issue is resolved...thanks for eveyone's advise and help..

Regards,
Jibu
