Error 9 configuring service Scheduler on 2008 server R2 for SQL TDP

Hi everyone,

I have windows 2008 r2 STD with SQL 2008 and i´m trying to create the service with the wizard for the tdp sql and it give me an "error 9 establishing tsm api session". It create the service and I can do backups correctly from the tdp sql client but when the scheduler start on the night it fail.

I´m using the 5.5.3 version of tdp sql client and 6.1.3 for TSM client

Can anyone helpme? some idea?

Have you defined the script to run the TDP properly? Are the configuration files correctly set? Is the scheduler calling the right TDP script?
 
did tsm api installed correctly? check the c:\program files\tivoli\tsm\api
directory.
 
install tsm baclient again with proper package (x64 or x32 with custom installation)
 
I had installed tsm api x64 and x32 and now I remove using the wizard the x32 option on the step where we can do it using advanced options but it don´t generate the API folder.

I installed now the new 5.5.4. version

I reinstall the TSM and the TDPSQL clients and don´t generate the API folder.

TDP SQL work doing backups if I execute the bats but when I try to do a restore it give me the error "An error ocurred on TSM API"

I have not this problem with 5.5.3 version.
 
where is the api cannot connect line in this detailed log? what tsm server says at the same time? what sqlfull.log says at the same time? is there any event viewer entry at the same time? it says scheduled command fails, your command (sqlfull.cmd) is properly edited for your environment? you said it works for backups, but not work for restores, this is the scheduled restore or what?

I solved the error of restoring dbs changing the tsm.opt. the tdp now is working if I do the actions but the scheduler continue without working.

The only log that I have is the error that I give you before.

I´m sorry the logs are in spanish.

yes logs are spanish but the time/hour is universal :)
your error log says something wrong in 15.06.2010 08:31:21... send the tsm activity log contains this minute (unfiltered).

I cannot find any details about this situation... there is nothing in the activity log (it must be) about that fail... TSM runs proper it might be a problem in your script (E:\Scripts_TSM\sqllogs_PROD.bat)... did you manually run this script in the windows command line?
