Hello everyone.

Im battling here with a NDMP restore problem on a EMC NS960 Celerra. And was hoping someone could shed some light on this?

TSM server version : 5.4.3
Celerra DART : 5.6.46.415

In my scenario we dont do backups table of contents(TOC) as we dont have sufficient space to store the snapshots on the Celerra. We are waiting for the additional hdd to be delivered to rectify this.

Im trying to do a restore to this NAS by means of the TSM Admin console and we are experiencing a "ANR9999D ndlog.c(120): ThreadId <58> NDMPLOG: E Permission denied to restore on Root fs(SESSION: 4473, PROCESS: 433)"

My restore command

restore node ZAMARSEMCBCK01 /root_vdm_6/fs01 filelist="/KM/Karee User Group Directories/Mining Ebit SHE Intranet Folder/13 Measuring and Monitoring/Central/03_Monthly Reports/Operational Workbooks/Mining/05_Mine 5 (E1, E2, Saffy, Opencast)/Saffy Month End Report.xls" filelist="/KM/Karee User Group Directories/Mining Ebit SHE Intranet Folder/13 Measuring and Monitoring/Central/03_Monthly Reports/Operational Workbooks/Mining/05_Mine 5 (E1, E2, Saffy, Opencast)/restored" PITD=06/04/2010 wait=no

Any help or guidance will be welcome!! :D

have you tried restoring to another temporary file system on Celerra

Hi Dynamox

Yes I did try that, I get the same message for any kind of restore I tried. We were on the phone with EMC on friday and we found that the command we send from TSM gets split up. Meaning that the file path arrives there as 3 pieces instead of one path. Any ideas what could cause this?
