Hi all,
I have a SUN server on which networker 7.0 was running. Recently we migrated the data to a new SUN server and upgraded networker to 7.4, but after the upgradation i can see duplicate copy of all the preconfigured groups, schedules and polices. The groups which were manually created do not show this problem and they have only a single instance. The server is doing fine and its not effecting any backup. Can anyone please help me with this. Thanks in advance.

After you run mmrecov you must delete the /nsr/res directory before you rename the recovered /nsr/res.R directory. NW uses the resource IDs for filenames.

Due to the nature how NW assigns resource IDs (you may say: randomly), existing resources (after the NW install) will most likely be different from those you recovered. This leads to different filenames resulting in duplicate resources if you copy your recovered resource files.

So never COPY your files from /nsr/res.R --> /nsr/res, instead
DELETE them in the /nsr/res directory and rename /nsr/res.R --> /nsr/res .
