I am no adsm expert, but I have been using it to backup database files using an NT perl script. Several of our systems have been upgraded to the 5.1 client & dsmc is now returning a code 8 to my perl scripts, which interpret anything other than 0 as an error. The backup works fine. Does return code 8 now indicate a successful backup? Does anyone know what return codes are acceptable & which are really errors?

I don't have access to any manuals, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Locate document GC32-0767-01. You may be able to find it on a CD or on the web. I found it at the Tivoli site before IBM took it over. This document list all of the messages that TSM produces.
