I know this topic has been discussed many times but I am not sure I completely understand.
I am going to implement DRM and these are the settings I think could work:
full db backup to scratch tape every day
snapshot db backup to disk (file class) every day also
drmdbbackupexpiry 2
reusedelay on copy pools 2
Now, full DBBackups would be included with DRMedia and would be taken offsite regulary. They would be handled by DRM.
However I don't want DBSnapshots to be handled by DRM (Process FILE Device Type?: NO) and I want to keep only the latest DBS by using delete volhist t=dbs.
Under these circumstances, am I "allowed" to use delete volhist only for DBSnapshots.
Will I loose track of volumes because of that?
Thank you.
