DLT 7000 Drive connect to TSM

Hello all,

we had connect an SCSI DLT 7000 Drive an the TSM-Server.



After we had configured the TSM-Server as follow:



1.) DEFINE LIBRARY dltlib libtype=manual

2.) DEFINE DRIVE dltlib dltdrive

3.) DEFINE PATH server1 dltdrive srctype=server desttype=drive library=dltlib device=/dev/rmt/12

4.) DEFINE DEVCLASS dcdlt library=dltlib devtype=dlt format=drive

5.) DEFINE STGPOOL dltpool dcdlt maxscratch=100



6.) LABEL libvol dltlib volume1



and the result was:

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR0984I Process 12 for LABEL LIBVOLUME started in the

BACKGROUND at 14:06:20.

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR8799I LABEL LIBVOLUME: Operation for library DLTLIBMAN

started as process 12.

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR8447E No drives are currently available in library

DLTLIBMAN.

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR0609I LABEL LIBVOLUME started as process 12.

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR8802E LABEL LIBVOLUME process 12 for library DLTLIBMAN

failed.

10/06/03 14:06:20 ANR0985I Process 12 for LABEL LIBVOLUME running in the

BACKGROUND completed with completion state FAILURE at

14:06:20.

I had the exact same problem with my DLT 7000 drive. Your suggestion worked! Thanks alot.
