Delete volhistory

I had a long volhistory list in my TSM. Some tapes didn't go to status scratch.
So I thought would be a good call, performed the "Delete volhistory" command. I erased the first 3 years of data in Volhistory, by the way, I keep with the two year ago. The problem begins when I try to see the content of few old tapes and I can't do it anymore because their reference is no longer there. I have .dbb backup of this old volhistory and I know I could restore it but my concern is if it would bring me another issues. My question is How I can retrieve just some of these tapes to see what is in there and retrieve their datas. I have a .dbb backup and a volhistory backup.

If you have the DBB and volhist backup BEFORE you trimmed the volhist, just restore the DBB.

Thanks for your reply.
But It happened a month ago, backups have been made until now.
It will be my last option. Because I think if I do that I probably will lost reference about new tapes.
