Hi,
I have run an "ESTIMATE DBREORGSTATS" to estimate how much space could be recovered if I run a DATABASE REORG.
I am a bit afraid because the ESTIMATE DBREORGSTATS took about 10 hours!! I dont know if the DATABASE REORG will tako so long.

Does anyone have any experience it?

I add my databe q db f=D:

Your reorg will probably take longer than the estimate, possibly much longer.

It helps if you put the DB onto the fastest possible disks - or massive RAMDISK as one or two people on the board like to do :)

I cannot do that anymore  no longer working at the old joint with fully populated p595's at my disposal... I think I was spoilt

I would suggest you are absolutely no chance at all of getting the process completed in 10 hours without the free RAM, with a 90gb database I would be absolutely stunned if you managed to get it done in a week, unless you has some exceptionally high level disk available.

First of all, I am sorry baucase Ithink I have written my post in the wrong forum.

Thank for you comments.

I have IBM DS8100 DISK with 15.000 RPM.

However, I wont do a reorganization.

Thanks a lot.
