Data Rention management

Hi All,

My query is regarding the data rention management when a TSM client is migrated from 1 TSM server to a new TSM server. How the file retention is maintained. For example,if a file is backed up on TSM server 1 and is elegible to retain for one year. After 6 months,client is migrated to new TSM sevrer.In such case,how the data retention is managed?

Was the database from TSM Server 1 moved over to TSM Server 2, and an export made? If not, then the policy for the client is re-bounded against TSM Server 2 whatever that is. More so, the client will have to do a full incremental backup on moving to TSM Server 2.
