data center move

Has anyone recently had to move to a new data center? Did you move your servers and storage or did you set up new servers and storage and use TSM to do restores of the servers? Is the Image Backup a good candidate for this process? I would prefer to move the physical hardware but my boss seems to think that using TSM is a better idea.

I recently moved into a new, secondary datacenter. Some of the systems were moved from the old DC to the new DC and some were built new. It mostly depended on how much data was involved and where it was stored. For my SAP databases in the ESS, I had to restore data (hard to move a 4 ton shark) but most of the other servers I moved with data (external SSA) Some were new servers and I only moved the storage. It all depends on how long you have to move the servers and how hard each kind of move would be.
