Copy magnetic storage volumes to another server ?

Hello,

I want to move my TSM installation to another machine.
How do I move my DISK devclass ant FILE type devclass volumes which are not on SAN so I can't just remap them ?

I assume I should stop my original server, copy FILE and DISK volumes to new server and after DB restore on new server these stgpools shoud work fine.

Is that right ?

What platform is TSM running on?

Windows 2003.
I mean move is Windows 2003 -> Windows 2008.

I suppose you don't migrate the volumes to tape ? Because if you do migrate, it could be faster to delete and recreate the volumes (depending on how many you have and the size of them)

Assuming you keep the same path for those volumes on the new server you will be able to copy them over
