how to check a particular folder or file systems are not getting backup

dsmc q backup /path/* -su=y (to see whether TSM hold anything from the path
dsmc q inclexcl (to check your true include or exclude patterns

Or you navigate the backup gui to the path in question. If the files in there are marked with a "no parking" sign, they're excluded.

In that case (provided the path was correct) you have not backed up that particular path yet.
