Hello,

My backups are failing due to no scratch.

The tapes I have in the library are only 0.3% utilised, so can fit more data on them.

is it possible to change the status of a tape from FULL to FILLING when it is only utilised by 0.3%

Details of the volumes are below. 701, 712, 717 are in question?

Library Name Volume Name Status Owner Last Use Home Device
Element Type

3582LIB 702AAQL3 Private Data 4,103 LTO
3582LIB 712AAQL3 Private Data 4,116 LTO
3582LIB 717AAQL3 Private Data 4,099 LTO

712AAQL3 PRILTO LTO 1,020,088 0.2 Full

717AAQL3 PRILTO LTO 1,102,523 0.6 Full

701AAQL3 PRILTO LTO 1,009,466 0.2 Full
702AAQL3 PRILTO LTO 1,015,828 100.0 Full

You can also do a "move data <VOLNAME> reconstruct=yes" to move that small amount of data onto another tape (probably with FILLING status) and then update the empty volume to scratch.
