Hi,
One quick quiz question just before my vacation: Can DRM manage BACKUPSET (BS) tapes?
I'm asking because my customer uses TSM Manager. The SW does the externalization of BS. TSMM is able to do great job but I had no time to play with it (and still prefer command-line scripting). Moreover, I don't think customer spends money to buy a new version. That's reason why I'm implementing DRM, now.
If I would have a time, I'd check the TSMM way to externalize BS.
Later...
First shot on Google - ADSM.QuickFacts:
"MOVe DRMedia: ...You can move just dbbackup volumes, getting around the copy storage pool participation requirement by specifying an always-empty, placebo copy storage pool; or, depending upon TSM's coding stringency, you may even be able to specify a non-existent copy storage pool name."
It's maybe the answer to my question but I'm confused by the English a bit...
Do you have a simple hint on the BS externalization done by DRM?
Thx in advance. ;-)
Simon
