CA Signed Certificates

Hi Everyone,

How does one install a CA signed certificate?

I know about the IBM links https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/de/SSGSG7_7.1.1/com.ibm.itsm.srv.doc/t_mngdata_homgrwnca.html

and few more. But this is not clear to me.

To a guy coming from NetBackup and Windows environment, IBM speak is trying to decipher some coded language!

So from what I gather:

1. Obtain blank CA certificate
2. Import it into TSM Server ( Will clients lose connection at this point?)
3. Send certificate to CA authority to be signed
4. Receive certificate and import it to TSM server.
5. Push it out to clients

TSM Server Version 8.1.1
Client are same version and some are 8.1.3

Is there some detailed explanation how to do this? Many thanks for all the help!

Unless your company already has their own CA certificate that they want you to use across the board, you may as well use self-signed:
