We are running Client version 5.3.0 and server version 5.2.0.0
Recently during testing we discovered that if we perform a full ASR recovery on a server. The c:\ drive, after the restore, has approximately 3000 files less than before the DR test.
After some digging it was found that the folder c:\winnt\system32\dllcache, was empty. It should have contained ~2800 files. Going back to the IBM documentation and reading, nothing on this has been found. Via Google we discovered if you restore the 'System State' again we get back over 2000 of these missing files.
It now appears that drivers installed after the defualt installation, ie OEM drivers etc... are the files that still remain missing, even some Microsoft files.
A. Has anyone come across this, performed the test more than once, to be sure before postin g this
B. Is there a supported solution
Any help on this topic would be appreciated as there is not much out there. Not one IBM doco i have read even mentions the word 'dllcache'
