Hi there..

I need to know, how I can bind the systemstate to an explicit managementclass neither the default-managementclass.
In the client manual I found that:

include.systemstate my_mgmctcl

I tried it but it does not work, systemstate is still in default.
Is it possible at all?

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Horst

...that was what I tried. Sorry I forgot ALL..

Some other ideas?

Horst

use for WinXP:
include.systemobject
Assigns management classes for backup of Windows system objects. By default, Tivoli Storage Manager binds all system objects to the default management class. You cannot use this option to bind individual systemobject components to a different management class. You cannot use this option to include or exclude a system object from processing. This option is valid for Windows XP only.

Thank you!
I will try it tonight.. tomorrow we will know more:up:.

Regards Horst

yes, the option include.systemstate is valid for W2k3 and Vista (not for XP)

.. and systemstate is still in the defaultmanagementclass and ASR, too.

Any ideas, please?

Setting the managementclass which you want to default managementclass of your strategy

Is it possible, to delete the systemobject & ASR filespace and test it again?

I did it. Tomorrow I will know if it has worked.
Thank you! :)

Good morning,

it worked, when I delted the old systemstate and ASR filespaces.
Thank you!
I gave you a wrong information; it is a W2k3 and so I had to work with include.systemstate ALL my_mgmtcl

But:
There are many nodes with the same problem and I cannot tell everbody, that I have to delete some filespaces in order to fix the problem..
Is this the only way?
Do you have any other suggestions?

Regards,
Horst
