Hi,
I have just finished building a new tsm server 5.1.64 and now have started thinking about the best way to backup our servers. I want to start looking into not just doing a straight incremental backup and start using some of the features like include/exclude lists and multiple manangement classes. Is their a best practises procedure for servers with data that don't need to be kept for the same amount of time or have the same number of versioning as others?
I will most likly use multiple managment classes then use the include/exclude lists associated with the mangement class for the number of copies and retention period for the particular dir.
