Backup DB2

I have a server with FileNet with DB2, as I have to back up the bank?

What do you mean by backup the 'bank'?

Anyways, backing up Filenet requires you to backup the data via the BA client, and backup the database and in this case DB2. DB2 has built-in API for TSM so there is no need to install a backup client for it. All that is needed is a BA client for the DB2 server OS file system and related files.

Yes my server has FileNet with Datacap, have to do is DB2 database?

Is your Filenet setup have the data part of the DB2 database? Or is the DB2 database just an index or metadata?

If it is the former, all is needed is to backup the DB2 database. You may need to do a BA client backup of the OS and related files.

If it is the latter (meaning the DB2 is just an index or metadata) , you need to backup the Filnet files + the DB2 database.

Really I do not know this information, have a DB2COPY1 icon in the lower right side.
