Backup Clarification or Issue

I have a AIX 6.1 and running a TSM client 5.5 ( which will be upgraded very shortly).

Issue :

I have a folder excluded in the include/exclude as Exclude.dir /xxxx . I see the sub-folders are getting backed up which is because I have mentioned exclude.dir rather than exclude.sys.

My question is I have a sub directories like /xxx/xx/xxxx/A , /xxx/xx/xxxx/B , /xxx/xx/xxxx/C , /xxx/xx/xxxx/D

Total 4 sub directories are there under /xxxx , when I check in backup , I see only 2 folders ( like A and B ) are backed up but not C and D.

Can some one explain this issue.

Are those backed up filesystems mountpoints instead of plain directories?

these are all mount points , mounted to some servers. But the primary data remains in this server.
