Hi,

i've a special architecture, my DB isn't saved on the Oracle server, but on a another computer via NFS. Of course, if i install my tsm_oracle_client where my db is saved, the RMAN script can't run because i haven't any oracle client on it.

So my question is:

Should i install tsm_client and tsm_oracle_client on my Oracle server, and run my RMAN script from my Oracle server instead of my network node?
Otherwise, how i should proceed to make a backup of my DB.

Thx a lot

If you would go the TDP route, install the TDP client on the Oracle server so you can backup the DB regardless where it is located.

Ok,

thx Moon-Buddy, i'll install my tdp on my oracle server so :)
