The TSM team want automate the <halt> of the TSM server before a planned shutdown in AIX. /etc/rc.shutdown should be a place to do this, but the Company does not allow to enter the password for
the TSM server in clear text:
/usr/bin/dsmadmc -id=admin -pa=<password> halt
This works, BUT as mentioned, we are not allowed to write the passord directly.
Anyone who can suggest howto do a automatic shutdown. t.ex. give in the password WHEN asked for it, just before AIX shutdown?
