Hi,

I have a problem with my configuration in my library. When I AUDIT the library, TSM don't find the drive:

07/29/2003 15:14:06 ANR0609I AUDIT LIBRARY started as process 664.

07/29/2003 15:14:06 ANR8447E No drives are currently available in library

LIB4560SLX.

07/29/2003 15:14:06 ANR0985I Process 664 for AUDIT LIBRARY running in the

BACKGROUND completed with completion state FAILURE at

15:14:06.

And when I tape «q drive» he found the drive

Library Name Drive Name Device Type On-Line

------------ ------------ ----------- -------------------

LIB4560SLX DRIVE1 LTO Yes

LIB4560SLX DRIVE2 LTO Yes

Can't you help me

The 'no drives available' message is not because it doesn't see the drives, but because the drives are in use. In order to audit a library, make sure there are no processes or client sessions running that are using a tape mount.

Next, don't forget the 'checklabel' option. Depending on the type of library you have, you have the option of using either 'checklabel=no' for a 349x library, or 'checklabel=barcode' for a SCSI library with a barcode reader. This will save you a lot of time (if you trust your external labels), as it does not require mounting each and every tape in the library.

Hope that helps...
