Hello,

Server OS: Windows Server 2012 R2
TSM server: v7.1.5
TSM client: v7.1.4.4

Document
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/... Recovering Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8
states:
The exception to using ASR with Windows operating systems is for 64-bit systems whose firmware interface is based on Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) rather than Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). EFI-based systems must use the aforementioned "Modified Instructions ..." procedure.

While "Microsoft Windows Client Requirements" official document
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21197133
clearly states that client v7.1 and v6.4 support ASR for UEFI:

So it's supported or not - can I do ASR bare metal recovery using Windows PE on x64 UEFI systems ?

Thanks,
Vilius M.

I believe it's now supported and they did not update: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/... Recovering Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8

You could ask the question at the bottom of the article by adding a comment. You'll need to login to DeveloperWorks using your IBM ID for that.

Actually, it only states that 7.1 can do it. There's a section for each version and each have different notes.
