Hi,

I am facing a problem in TDP for Domino.The archive backup will complete succesfully but the archive log files will not be deleted from the domlog filesysystem.

I am consfused weather its a problem with the TDP configuration or some more parameter needs to be added in the config file to delete the archive logs from the domino filesystem after the backup.

Hi

Here it is talking abt the logs in the TSM i am trying to say that after the successfull archive backup the logs are not deleting from the domino server itself.

From what I recall reading, the transaction logs are backed when archive logs is issued - then Domino reuses those transaction logs rather than delete them. Also, you want to be sure to run an inactive logs schedule/command after your selective backups.

Basically your transaction logs will grow to a fixed size and stop their growth because they are reused. Just ensure the volume responsible for housing the trans logs is large enough to hold them or the Domino server will crash.
