I am trying to backup a Win2K server (SP3), running TSM client 4.2.2.8 and am getting a "ANS2609S TCP/IP communications failure between the browser and the client machine" error. This only happens if I try to backup the SYSTEM FILES in the SYSTEM OBJECT via the Web interface. I can backup everythign else just fine. I have tried uninstalling the client and re-installing it (rebooting several times). Any suggestions? Maybe a newer client (there is no newer 4.2.2.x client)?
BTW, If try to backup the system files through the client on the server, the client just closes and there are no errors anywhere.
I got no hits on that ANS error message and Tivoli tech support has bumped this up to Level 2 support.
