Hi All,

I am trying to configure new Sepaton libray in our setup.
We defined two libary Lan faced libary(libary1) & lan free libary(libary 2).I am facing similar kind of issue with this two libary

1) Initially libary 1 smc got detected but not able to access that one.
So we deleted smc from OS and rescan it from OS and from VTL.But its not getting detected in OS at all.

2)In 2nd libary,I am not able to access that.

tsm: >define path tsm LANFREE_VTL srctype=server desttype=library device=/dev/smc6 online=yes
ANR8418E DEFINE PATH: An I/O error occurred while accessing library LANFREE_VTL.
ANS8001I Return code 15.

when i try to access the libary using tapeutil I am getting below error:

Enter the device special file name (Example: /dev/rmt0): /dev/smc6
Opening device...
Operation failed with errno 79: Connection refused

Hit <enter> to continue...

# lsdev -Cc tape |grep smc6
smc6 Available 07-01-02 IBM 3584 Library Medium Changer (FCP).

Please help me to trouble shoot on this. Thanks in advance

On my client side all the drives serial numbers are getting detected with prefix "00".Is it causing the problem?

Server side:rmt289 (serial number) SG12014012
Client side:rmt65 (serial number) 00SG12014012

when i try open the drive from client side i am getting below error:
Enter the device special file name (Example: /dev/rmt0): /dev/rmt65

Select mode (1=Read/Write, 2=Read Only, 3=Write Only, 4=Append): 1

Opening device...
Operation failed with errno 46: Device not ready

Hit <enter> to continue...

how to recitify this one.....
