AIX Versus WINDOWS

Im kind of new of managing TSM and I have a questions which server is best to run TSM on?



We have for the moment 12 AIX and 17 Win servers on a Proliant 380 with one proc and 1 GB ram.



Is there some research which OS is best suited for managing TSM?



My question comes from a request from my company I´m managing the TSM product on right now, they want to put TSM on AIX but I don´t... :grin:

from my past 8 years of experience , the best deal to go with would be AIX as compared to Windows. I am running TSM Server on Aix and have multi platform Operating System backing up, i have not had any issues , and plan to upgrade to the latest TSM Server level.
