AIX ADSM tape device problems...

Hi,



After connecting our new scalar 1000 LTO2 library, the situation is as follows:



these are the tape drives:

rmt5 Available 10-68-00-2,0 LTO Ultrium Tape Drive

rmt6 Available 10-68-00-3,0 LTO Ultrium Tape Drive

rmt7 Available 10-69-00-2,0 LTO Ultrium Tape Drive

rmt8 Available 10-69-00-3,0 LTO Ultrium Tape Drive



I managed to read/write with a simple tar commnad.



the library is defined as:

lb3 Available 10-69-00-6,0 N/A



THE PROBLEM:

when i try to define the adsm devices-->tape drives i get the error:



Method error (/etc/methods/cfgadsmdd):

0514-051 Device to be configured does not match the physical

device at the specified connection location.

cfgadsmdd[valid]: the device is NOT supported.

cfgadsmdd[inq..]: free dds.

cfgadsmdd[main ]: error inquiry or building dds, rc=51



Our server is AIX 4.3.3, TSM server 5.1.7, Atape driver 8.3.8.0



Someone can help here?
