ADDING TSM CLIENT NODES

Does anyone know if there is a way to automatically add TSM Client Nodes rather then adding them manually. I'm using TSM with Active Directory. Thanks.

try looking up 'open registration'.



It allows clients to automatically register, but the registration must still be done.

If you are putting every client in one 'standard' config/pool, it works.



I still find that I go modify the default parameters for our setup.

What I have done is write some simple scripts to perform the steps necessary to define each general type of client we use. They create a policy domain, register the node, define the drm, define and associate a schedule, and define the storage agents and the paths if necessary.
