Hi there. I have inherited the configuration we are running for TSM 6.3.3 on Solaris 10.
The actlog and mirrorlog are on separate disks on the server, there is no hardware RAID and I see some errors on the disk that the actlog is mounted on. Looking ahead, I'm trying to determine the best plan of action if I need to recover the actlog after a disk replacement.
Secondly, I'm wondering if best practice is to point the actlog to the current mirrorlog disk prior to a disk failure (if I'm actually heading in that direction) and if the disk that the mirror is on fails, that would have less impact on TSM. Does this logic pan out? I'm having difficulty finding documentation on switching from actlog to mirrorlog in this type of situation.
