MS SQL Server 2000 on Windows 2003, TDP for MS SQL v2.2

Plz can someone help. Am very new to this area.

We have just installed SQL 2000 on our Win 2003 server. Each time I try to do a backup using TDP I get the error message in subject above.

Kindest Regards

Peter

Most likely it's because the SQL Server Virtual Name is different than the Node Name. For example, if the computer name is "COMPUTER1" but the SQL Server is named "SERVER1", you will get this error.

Look at the SQL Server Agent and see what the name is of the virutal server. If it's different than the Node Name of your computer, you will have to change the configurations in the TDP for SQL GUI. Start the TDP for SQL GUI and go to Edit --> Configuration. Change the first line (SQL Server:______) to the virtual server name. Click apply and then do a REFRESH on the GUI. It should work
