accidental "delete filespace" and "remove node"

a colleague who has system privilege on tsm server has accidentally deleted an Archive Filespace on a node, and then removed the node too. Only the backup filespaces were required to be deleted not the archive ones.



Is there a way to get it back now? I have the DB backup performed in the morning before this deletion activity and the server is in production.

Restore your DB to a point in time before the del filespace happened. Thats about the only way now to get it back.

Take the DB from the morining and any tape tape is owned by that node and restore it using an alternate instance. That is really the only way you can get the data back. DO IT BEFORE RECLAMATION RUNS OR IT'S GONE FOR GOOD!
