6.1 client on server 2008

Ok, I installed the 6.1 client on a windows server 2008 and am getting these errors every day...

So if I launch the GUI, and go to the directories to try to backup the files that are failing, the files have the nice little round circle with the slash through them, so why are they still failing when my excludes are obviously working?

I thought you didn't need 2 sets of \...\

I always thought that \...\ meant all subdirs, and you don't need 2 sets of them.

Correct me and slap me if I am wrong.

rwhtmv - I think I've tried just one set of \...\ in the past, and for some reason that didn't work, so I've been using two sets.

Either way, the excludes are working when I try to do a manual backup of those files that are failing,,, but when the schedule kicks off, it doesn't.

You need to restart the scheduler.

Why is it failing on the d:/ when I have it excluded..... this is the only Windows Server 2008 that is giving me such problems.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Wouldn't it be better to use "DOMAIN C: -D:" instead of "EXCLUDE.DIR "D:\""?

Did you get that fixed, I am having the same error and my set up is same like yours. I would like to know the fix. I tried to exclude it and stop and start the service but no luck.

rulan - I don't know what changed, I did add the DOMAIN C: O: which fixed the errors on the D drive, (I guess the exclude.dir d is not the same as DOMAIN C: O the other errors just stopped - this is after stopping and starting the scheduler several times. I don't know if it was/is a server 2008 error or a PEBKAC error.
