Contains info on running cleanups manually, as well as info on a
why-the-heck-isn't-it-a-default!!! touchfile. The reason it's not the default is that it can cause backups to fail. Been there, done that, wasn't pretty.
If you want to see what NetBackup has been doing for cleanup lately (all
one line):
egrep "Cleanup running in background|delete_expired_backups:
deleted" /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bpdbm/log.*
In 6.5, you can now see the image cleanups in the activity monitor.
There's a reason my Veritas/Symantec spends a lot of time developing new releases...they really do fix (and sometimes create :-)) bugs, design issues, and add new features.
