Are you printing your own labels? Changed suppliers recently for the
labels?
We have a StorageTek L700 and when we test at DR, they have an IBM
library. The IBM will read *SOME* of the labels *SOME* of the time. It
is very frustrating. Each vendor has their own differences and you have
to find a label that will work good in your library.

I'm not particularly familiar with that exact library, but it certainly
sounds like a hardware issue with the library itself.
Does the unit have any sort of periodic maintenance? I had an old ATL
library that would start messing up barcodes about every 3 months.
Clean it and it was good again.
